Description Juergen Weigert 2010-04-17 18:11:42 UTC
This is a lenovo x60s, with

When the machine is docked, the docking station shows a red led, next to the
undock lever. There is a button, that should change this led to green, and secure everything so that I can pull the lever to release the machine.

Pressing the button does not change the LED. The machine falls into suspend to ram instead. I haven't found any averse effects from removing the susepended machine from the docking station, and resuming afterwards. Nevertheless, I consider this awkward behavior a bug.

How can this be changed to the expected operation?

Still seen in 11.3

This is based on acpi and udev rules today. Can't reproduce without the laptop. Please open a new issue if it still happens with currently supported release.
