I have a feature request for OpenSuse 11.3's bootloader. Currently if a user install's a new linux kernel the bootloader displays multiple installations like this:

OpenSuse 11.2 -2.6.31 etc etc (default)
Failsafe OpenSuse 11.2 -2.6.3 etc etc (default)
Desktop OpenSuse 11.2 -2.6.31 etc etc
Failsafe OpenSuse 11.2 -2.6.3 etc etc (desktop)

Alot of beginners won't even know what this is or which one to choose.

You should only display one OpenSuse 11.2 and hide the other options with a "see more" button that users can push Enter on to make them visible.

Reproducible: Always

Josef, you are working or worked on problem with too long names for boot sections.
BTW the ideas could be added via FATE. please look at https://features.opensuse.org/

Yes, this feature is not trivial to implement, so please add it to our feature tracking system https://features.opensuse.org/. Also part of your idea is not technically possible ( grub doesn't allow "see more" ).
Thanks
