YaST2 stops while installing openoffice_org-calc-extensions

I have installed 2 times Milestone 6 on the same pc and got the same problem with YaST2. Every time when YaST is intalling OpenOffice_org-calc-extensions-3.2.0.99.3-1.1.i586.rpm, the installer freezes at this place. But the kernel is still alive.

On tty1 the message "error: cannot open Package ondex using db3 - No such file or directory (2)" appears.

I have attached the y2logs.

Same here. The problem is that the post install script starts unopkg
which runs for a long time (if not ever). See output of ps.

It works on x86_64, but on i586 it fails reproducably.

Petr, for you?
Comment 5 Petr Mladek 2010-04-29 11:35:45 UTC
The output from "ps axf" shows that it freezed when registering the extension ConvertTextToNumber-1.3.2.oxt.

I see that the extension is really broken in openSUSE-DVD-Build0577-i586.iso. The problem has been later fixed as the bug #595550.

If you want to install the milestone 6, you need to explicitly disable this package in the installation proposal. It should not happen with the next milestone.

I am sorry for the troubles.
