I used liveCD to install my machine, but the Software Repository Configuration for non-oss and oss comes with wrong value on Directory On Server field, that is:

/distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/

but the correct is:

/distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/suse/

without do that change, you cant use yast to install software.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click Computer
2.click Install Software
3.on load you get an HTTP 404 error for http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/repodata/repomd.xml

The URL is correct. It shouldn't download repodata/repomd.xml, but suse/setup/descr.

ok, but that URL is inside liveCD that i downloaded from last week, you say that today that URL was corrected to /distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/suse/? because in liveCD i have from last week the config have /distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/
 that is wrong.

i think that no, because in liveCD ISO the URL config for non-oss is wrong, and all times, user must correct that.

as coolo said, we do not load the repomd data here, but the
suse tags data, and this is accessed from the non-oss/ subdirectory.

where does it not work for you?

Hi Marcus,

i downloaded again live CD version 11.3 and now all repo works, but i sure you that in past for version 11.2 i must correct repo config from /distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/ to /distribution/11.2/repo/non-oss/suse/ as that is the only way to get updates working in an installation from LiveCD, maybe that was a problem with mirror, as someone i dont remind now told me that download.opensuse is some type of transparent mirror.

as now in version 11.3 all is working maybe this issue can be closed.
