If you're turning off ACPI there is likely no way to enumerate the processors on your system. The real issue is that ACPI isn't working correctly on your system. in fact, running Unbuntu (kernel 2.6.32-22-generic) with acpi turned off, all cores is running on performance settings. i can't turn the cores to ondemand settings, but works fine. I mean, never acpi works fine on toshiba's laptops (In reply to comment #1) > If you're turning off ACPI there is likely no way to enumerate the processors > on your system. > > The real issue is that ACPI isn't working correctly on your system. please provide screen shot of the boot with the enabled ACPI. (In reply to comment #3) > please provide screen shot of the boot with the enabled ACPI. if enable ACPI, no get boot, i was looking for the log, but boot.log is empty, The screen message describes that the system can't find the SUSE partition, is seeking by label the same partition where is installed openSUSE, there is only one hard disk, can't find something called i95 too, how i can get the screen file to post it? boot screen
this is the snap shot
please also remove 'quiet' option from kernel command line. Did you manage to boot from root=/dev/sda6 ? Closing as NORESPONSE since there was no update after the request for information in Comment #7. Thanks. |
