regarding the comment:
the string is follwed by a media number, e.g. "Medium 1"

this is usefull in English and of course for tons of other languages, but in Hungarian we say: "1. adathordozó"

So please add the variable to the translation part like this:
"Medium %1" and I could translate it to "%1. adathordozó"

maybe this is suitable for other locale as well
