Description Martin Früh 2010-06-21 13:08:45 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100317 SUSE/3.5.9-0.1.1 Firefox/3.5.9

in opensuse 11.3 rc1 (and also older versions at least since opensuse 11.2) the brightness slider of the battery widget is not visible when using the aya plasma theme.
using the mouse wheel to change the brightness (while hovering above the place where the slider should be) works perfectly for me.
using the standard air plasma theme, the slider is visible.

kde bug report https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=225061 does, among others, also describe this problem and includes a screenshot of the same problem with the oxygen plasma theme.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. add the battery widget to the panel
2. change the plasma theme to aya
3. search for the brightness slider
Actual Results:
brightness slider is invisible

Expected Results:
brightness slider should be visible

Can you try if installing kdebase4-runtime-branding-upstream instead of kdebase4-runtime-branding-openSUSE fixes the problem?
Comment 4 Martin Früh 2010-08-17 06:47:58 UTC
Yes, kdebase4-runtime-branding-upstream fixes the problem for kde 4.4.

In also tried kde 4.5 with branding-openSUSE (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Distro:/Factory/openSUSE_11.3/), the problem does not seem to happen there.

should this bug be marked as resolved?

Thanks for quick response. Then it is actually is a duplicate of bug 623459. I close it as the duplicate of the newer bug because it is already tracked for an online update.
