User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100527 SUSE/3.6.4-2.2 Firefox/3.6.4

I Just downloaded DVD with openSUSE 11.3 RC1 and installed Gnome as default. By default settings compiz was turned on and it totally slowed down O.S. Tome taken by pointer to move from bottom left corner to upper right was approx 5s. In 11.0 , 11.1 and 11.2 compiz was working fine for me.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install os 11.3 x64
2. use Gnome
3.turn on O.S.
Actual Results:
Compiz failed - slowed down all system.[Read description]

Expected Results:
Operate as normal

What graphics card do you have?

I suspect this to be a duplicate of bug #616269.

To verify, please check in ccsm (compizconfig settings manager) in the workaround section, if fglrx is enabled, if so disable it.

As outlined in the above mentioned bug, this has been fixed, but IIRC it did not make it on RC1 disks.

As the product went final and I did not hear any similar reports, I assume this has indeed been fixed and was a duplicate of bug 616269.
