Also, I did try closing the app's in the system tray and re-starting them but this had no affect either. Found the cause, thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 623459 *** |
Created attachment 378233 [details] Picture of system tray area User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100626 SUSE/3.6.6-1.2 Firefox/3.6.6 After updating from KDE 4.4.5 to 4.4.95 (KDE 4.4.95 (KDE 4.5 >= 20100723)) although the applications "Notifications and jobs" and "Battery monitor" are present in the system tray the associated icons are missing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Restart KDE 2. Reboot system 3. Deleting files /.kde4/share/config/plasma* and restarting system does not fix problem. Actual Results: Problem persists regardless of above actions. Expected Results: Expected step 3. to resolve the issue. Other than missing icons desktop functions normally.
