Description Christopher Yeleighton 2010-08-10 19:51:14 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #407783 +++

The package 'htdig' is required to build the KDE help indexes, but it doesn't seem to be installed as a part of the KDE4 desktop "suite". Simply installing htdig allows these indexes to be built. Adding htdig to the KDE3 and KDE4 patterns should fix this completely.

Please observe that neither beagle nor htdig is installed by default from the installation CD, so the Help Center is broken out of the box.

OK, so I installed Beagle and Kerry. Guess what? Nothing happened: KDE Help Center still fails with htdig.
Comment 2 Christian Trippe 2010-11-28 20:38:22 UTC
htdig is recomment by kdebase4-runtime (at least with openSUSE 11.3 AFAIK). Closing as fixed.
