Description Ilya Chernykh 2010-08-11 19:34:25 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; ru; rv:1.9.1.11) Gecko/20100714 SUSE/2.0.6-55.4 SeaMonkey/2.0.6

Command cat /etc/resolv.conf gives the following output:

nameserver 212.1.224.6
nameserver 212.1.230.111
nameserver 212.1.224.34

The first server in this list is not pingable and this causes serious lags of 5-10 sec when working in Internet.

I have tries to write addresses of DNS servers manually in Yast, namely I write 212.1.230.111 and 212.1.224.34 in both network settings and provider settings and disable automatic assigning DNS via DHCP. Nothing helps. Still the same lags and still the same three servers in resolv.conf.

What should I do?

Reproducible: Always

When removing the first server from /etc/resolv.conf by a text editor, outside Yast, the lags disappear.

On my 11.3 machine it works as expected. Please attach screenshot from configuration + yast logs
