Known issue, new multithreaded rngd may use quite a bit a CPU time, it is related to that bug mentioned in comment 1. Of course removing the package leaves from system with very little entropy available ;) in case you want an alternative, install "haveged" from the security repo. I will keep an eye on this one. let's close this one, the package has been updated several times and I have not seen similar reports |
