User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; es-ES; rv:1.9.0.15) Gecko/2009102815 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.15

Versions:

openSUSE 11.3
KDE 4.4.4
YaST Packager 2.19.7-1.5
Libzypp 7.7.5-7.2
=================================================================================

Problem:

I opened YaST for removing some packages, but then I decided to close it. There were some conflicts so I passed.

When closing, a window stating ''Starting Package Manager'' appears. I don't know the exact sentence (my openSUSE 11.3 is in Spanish). After 1 or 2 seconds, it disappears.

I know this isn't very annoying, but, why don't YaST close quickly without ''Starting Package Manager''?

Thanks!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open YaST package manager
2. Close it by clicking X in the title bar.

Actual Results:
The ''Starting Package Manager'' window

Expected Results:
No window, just YaST closed instead.

I think that's because yast displayed "starting" dialog at startup, then it leaves it open and displays a new dialog (the package manager) on top of it. At exit the top dialog is closed and because exiting takes some time the initial dialog can be seen.

:) - I'm not developer so.... I know this bug isn't very important. Could you fix it?

I think this happens with all YaST modules. I will check, could you check?

I guess it happens only with the package manager module.

The bug has LOW priority (P4), just don't expect it to be fixed soon...

I could not reproduce it in a real system, but I simulated it by adding a sleep() call to the code.

I have fixed it by clearing the progress dialog after start so at the end there will be an empty dialog displayed (if at all - for me it's fast, I cannot see it).

Fixed in SVN Yast repository (will be in YaST:Head and in Factory/11.4).
