User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.9) Gecko/20100824 Firefox/3.6.9 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

Running on AMD 64-bit quad processor.
When typing at the keyboard into a text-mode command line, the first character of input is dropped after 4 seconds of idle time. For example if you type the following at the prompt:

1 (wait 4 seconds) 23 (wait 4 seconds) 4567

what appears on the screen is:

12567

Also happens in a gnome terminal window and with mouse clicks.

Does not happen on similarly configured 32-bit single processor systems.

Yes, this is a duplicate of 638200.  And kernel 2.6.34.7 did fix the problem.
