Description chris rogers 2010-10-19 07:29:57 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.14) Gecko/2009090900 SUSE/3.0.14-0.1 Firefox/3.0.14

I accidentally filled up my system partition with a bad backup script. When I tried to login in graphical mode, SUSE fails to login and returns to the login dialogue. I can only login as root or to a shell session.

There should be some diagnostic information to let me know why I can't log in so that I can fix it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Fill system partition with junk
2. Try to log in as a user

Actual Results:
SUSE starts to log in but then crashes back to log in screen

Expected Results:
I don't mind if SUSE doesn't let me log in - but it should let me know why so that I can fix the problem.

Please explain which graphical mode do you have used for login:
GDM/GNOME, KDM/KDE, xdm, or any other display manager like wdm.
