When I start Empathy it tries to connect to MSN.
this fails and Empathy tries again,

In the terminal I see this messages:

(empathy:6540): TelepathyBackend-WARNING **: failed to create personas from incoming contacts in channel 'publish': Name owner lost (service crashed?)

(empathy:6540): TelepathyBackend-WARNING **: failed to create personas from incoming contacts in channel 'subscribe': Name owner lost (service crashed?)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Empathy
2. make a MSN account
3. start up Empathy
Actual Results:  
Empathy makes no contact 

Expected Results:  
Empathy makes contact to the msn servers

Hello, 

Sorry for re open the bug.
But that bug is solved and my problem still exist.

Im using Suse 11.3 with Gnome 2.32 of the Gnome:stable repo.

when I got error of "No reason specified"
rpm -qa  |grep papyon
papyon-0.4.6-1.3.noarch

then I did this:
zypper up papyon
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...
Resolving package dependencies...

The following package is going to be upgraded:
  papyon 

1 package to upgrade.

Everything works fine now.

And I got no warnings like " TelepathyBackend-WARNING" when I run empathy.(opensuse 11.3 32bit)
So would you try to reinstall that?

I have the latest papyon.
And reinstall does not solve the problem.

Hello, 

Problem solved.
I talked to one of the empathy developers.
Updating two packages will solve the probblem.

papyon need a update to 0.5.2
telepathy need a update to 0.5.14

I think it's pretty obvious... but great you have your problem fixed. Next time please be careful when opening duplicate bugs specially when it was released an update.
