Description Андрей Кувшинов 2010-11-30 21:07:30 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.11 SUSE/9.0.564.0 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/9.0.564.0 Safari/534.11

DNS in yast configured to use LDAP. After a zone modification and choosing Ok to exit DNS config nothing is written to the LDAP, even it asks for a credentials. There is a way to make it write. You've got after zone modification go to a Start-Up section of the DNS config and choose "Save and Restart Now". Again there is nothing in the LDAP but when you choose Ok to exist it works and finally writes modifications to the LDAP.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Enable LDAP support in yast-dns
2.Add record in to any zone
3.Chose Ok to exit yast-dns
Actual Results:
Nothing changes in LDAP

tested with both yast2-dns modules from http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/noarch and http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.3/repo/oss/
on a justinstalled opensuse 11.3 in VBox

Here is some info from /var/log/YaST2/y2log
[agent-ldap] LdapAgent.cc(debug_exception):485 ldap error while modifying relativeDomainName=linux,zoneName=site,ou=DNS,dc=site (8): Strong(er) authentication required
[agent-ldap] LdapAgent.cc(debug_exception):487 additional info: modifications require authentication

Note: Yast asks for the credentials but does nothing!
