Description Sascha Peilicke 2010-12-02 12:24:17 UTC
I suggest using gtk-oxygen-engine currently found in KDE:Factory:Extra as the default theming engine for GTK+ apps in a KDE session. This way (and contrary to oxygen-molecule), the color scheme would also be honored and custom solutions like MozillaFirefox-theme-oxygen aren't necessary any more.

Altough the engine isn't yet perfect, IMO it already improves visuals with regard to the current solutions. The engine is there, we just have to set it as the default in kcm_gtk.

So far, I've tested Firefox3, OpenOffice (not Libre) and Ekiga, all looking good (with the exception of Firefox tab headers).

I guess it is enough to track this in one bug. As the other one has already more information. I will close this one as dup and at KDE-Maintainers as CC to the other bug.
