Description Vincent Untz 2010-12-11 10:28:43 UTC
We're missing directories for several locales in Factory, and that's creating build failures for at least gnome-do and transmission:

 ceb (cebuano, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cebuano_language)
 jv (javanese, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javanese_language)
 lb (luxembourgish, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luxembourgish_language)
 nap (neapolitan, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neapolitan_language)
 sc (sardinian, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sardinian_language)
 tet (tetum, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetum)
 tyv (tuvan, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuvan_language)

Would it be possible to just generate the list of directories from ISO 639-2? Seehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-2_codes or the xml in the iso-codes package. It's a bit frustrating to have to file bugs for this :/

Also: kg (kongo, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kongo_language)

(needed for gnome-desktop)

Note to self: gtk2, gtk3 and gnome-menus are also affected.

Pidgin has mhr, which is the iso 639-3 code for Eastern Mari (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mari_language). Is this also something we can add, or are we just limiting ourselves to 639-2?

my current idea is to make %find_lang remove all locales not in filesystem, so we can control over that list what languages meet a certain amount of translations as I would like to limit the languages around somewhat.
Comment 5 Stephan Kulow 2011-01-14 09:11:04 UTC
I added the locales now and have rpm remove non supported locales. And for 11.5 I would like to reset the list and add only languages we have > 10.000 translations for.
