Description Segundo Luis Martín Díaz Sotomayor 2010-12-24 04:41:35 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20101105 Firefox/4.0b7

Before, with KDE 4.4, when I use Krusader and open a compressed file (Ejem. *.zip) whose contents are a list of images, Gwenview showed me the images as gallery and I could view them all. This was a great feature.

But now, with KDE 4.5, this functionality is gone, I would like you to please include it again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Krusader
2. Find an archive compressed that contains multiple images (Ejem. *.zip)
3. Press the key "->" (right) or press ENTER
4. Open the image (for default, it's opening with Gwenview)
5. Press spacebar
Actual Results:
Nothing....

Expected Results:
View the next image.

I test in openSUSE 11.4 M5 (x86_64) with the rpms from the DVD and same thing happens. :(

Can you please try with Dolphin instead of Krusader with openSUSE 11.4?

I can reproduce this somehow with KDE 4.6 on openSUSE 11.3?
Walking forward with Gwenview does not work.
Walking backwards with Gwenview works fine.
After this also going forward through the archive works.

Are you sure this was different before?

Hi.

sorry for the delay. In the 11.4 Final this bug is still unresolved.

Yes, in the 11.3 with Dolphin same thing happens, I think what this is for the KDE version.

Walking forward with Gwenview does not work, > THIS IS THE PROBLEM.

Walking backwards with Gwenview works fine. > This is only because the image is saved in a temporal directory. T_T

Try this: Open a image with Gwenview... then press "ESC". Gwenview should generate a Galery with ALL images of directory, BUT only generate the image what you open (if you open another image, then Gwenview generate the galery witn two images).

New Information:

With I use only Gwenview, this bug don't happens, but if I use Krusader and then open the file compressed with gwenview, THIS BUG APPEARS.

So I assume that this bug from "Krusader".
Comment 5 Zoltán Ilyés 2011-11-19 17:31:32 UTC
I reopened this bug because in 12.1 still exists. I think this is a bug in krusader behavior because in openSUSE 12.1 when I open an image from a compressed file, the image is uncompressed to /var/tmp/kdecache-$user/krun and gont opened from there. In Mageia the compressed file is opened directly, showing the selected image.
Comment 6 Segundo Luis Martín Díaz Sotomayor 2011-12-14 00:06:07 UTC
Yep, in 12.1 still exists. :(

Well... I hope that someday this bug will be fixed.

Can you test with 12 + K:R:49 or 12.2 + KUA? I submited latest release
Comment 8 Segundo Luis Martín Díaz Sotomayor 2013-03-23 16:30:20 UTC
In OpenSUSE 12.3 this bugs still exists. :(

This is very sad.
Comment 9 Zoltán Ilyés 2013-04-02 10:09:18 UTC
It must be (at least I suspect to be) because of some OpenSUSE specific patch applied to kde, but I have no time to track it down. I tried quite a few other distributions and found this bug only on OpenSUSE.

Sorry, but we don't have a single patch for Krusader that would inflict functionality - only one is for creation of man files during build. Can you validate that you where using the same version on other distros?

Ontopic again - this is also reproducible with krusader from git master :(
Comment 11 Jiri Slaby 2015-11-09 14:16:24 UTC
This version is out of maintenance, if you still see the problem, please reopen and move the bug to a more recent product.
