Created attachment 406326 [details] Authentication is required to modify the laptop brightness User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b7) Gecko/20101105 Firefox/4.0b7 On openSUSE 11.4 M5 Gnome 2.32.1 x86_64, an Authentication message popup several times already on the login sreen and after login to Gnome, when the laptop hp8710w is running on battery. Also after root password is entered this message is repeted several times: "Authentication is required to modify the laptop brightness". see attached screenshot.
