Description Stefan Tittel 2011-02-11 03:15:46 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.13) Gecko/20101203 SUSE/3.6.13-0.2.1 Firefox/3.6.13

Running (Qt-)YaST on openSUSE 11.4 RC1 using KDE, the UI widgets (i.e. buttons, scrollbars etc.) look very different from other KDE applications, because YaST uses the Plastique Qt style instead of the Oxygen Qt style, which is the default Qt style on KDE. Also it seems like the color scheme does not fit.

The same holds true when running other KDE/Qt applications as root. For instance "kdesu dolphin" also results in Dolphin utilizing the Plastique instead of the Oxygen style and colors are also off.

It seems like the default KDE style settings are not set for the root user and also are not inherited from the current user's environment hence making YaST and other Qt applications which are run as root look strange.

Reproducible: Always
