For my purposes, this is not actually a problem as such, but I'm reporting it anyway, as others might see it differently. I have Factory running on an IBM/Lenovo Thinkcentre 8135, and it is ignoring my pressing the power putton to initiate an orderly shutdown.

Reproducible: Always

Are you using KDE?
Fixed in the next kde upload, you'll also need to delete your powerdevil config ~/.kde4/share/config/powerdevil2profile

No, this is a minimum text-only server installation.
Comment 3 Holger Macht 2011-03-15 15:55:34 UTC
Please run acpi_listen and press the button. Any output? Is package acpid installed (you need it for the former command to exist)?
Comment 4 Per Jessen 2011-03-15 16:56:10 UTC
No, acpid was not installed (see bug 669498). I installed it and it's now working fine. I'm closing this report as a duplicate.
