I'm faced by the same issue. I've tested the USB <-> UMTS modem with Gnome and there it works. Which log files are needed? Which alternative repository we should try? Try KDE:Distro:Factory NetworkManager-kde4[-libs] Should I try KDE:Distro:Factory NetworkManager-kde4[-libs] even if the packages from there have the same last change as those installed with openSUSE 11.4? Does it also crash plasmoid-networkmanagement? My system is no longer at openSUSE 11.4 level. But with 12.1 the same USB UMTS device works without any trouble with KDE. Thanks for the feedback. So I#m closing it as fixed with 12.1. 11.4 users can either update to a current KDE version, if it is a KDE issue, or to 12.1 if it is an openSUSE issue. |
