KDE ignores powerbutton events

Steps To Reproduce:
1. qemu-kvm -cdrom openSUSE-KDE-LiveCD-x86_64-Build1049-Media.iso -monitor stdio -m 1000
2. wait until it is booted
3. send "system_powerdown" via qemu' monitor in the terminal


last  known working is Build1044 dated 2011-01-31
first known failing is Build1049 dated 2011-02-05

This timespan had the update to kde-4.6.0 and the disabling of hal.
But just re-enabling hal does not make this work.
