Description Cristian Rodríguez 2011-03-10 23:52:45 UTC
I think we should add the following statement in the release notes

"Intel SSD drives have a bug that causes system hangs using the smartd daemon, which may be enabled my default.
Users should upgrade the drive's firmware by downloading it from the Intel site
http://www.intel.com/go/ssdfirmware/"

Cheers.

Thanks for the info. I propose to add to the release notes:

Intel SSD Drives Causing System Hangs
=====================================
Intel SSD drives with old firmware can cause system hangs using
the smartd daemon (Monitor for S.M.A.R.T. Disks and Devices),
which is enabled my default.

Users should upgrade the drive's firmware. Download it from
http://www.intel.com/go/ssdfirmware/
