Description Evagelos Giannadakis 2011-04-14 10:52:02 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0

I downloaded the GNOME Live CD and tried it both from a CD and a USB stick. I still need to use nomodeset, or my screen just blanks-out shortly after the splash appears -- maybe irrelevant, but very annoying none-the-less...

After the services begin to start, I get the screen-blinking behavior and errors on the console about gdm not being able to start X. Looking at the X logs reveals that the nouveau driver gets loaded, but DRI complains about not being able to access the device and X fails saying it cannot find a screen.

Here's my lspci output:

1. Try to start Live CD
2.
3.
Actual Results:
X fails to start and you're dropped on the console

Expected Results:
X should start, leading the user to the live environment.

Product is no longer supported. In case the issue is still reproducable on a maintainerd product (at that momement: openSUSE 13.1 or later), feel free to reopen.
