Description Alex Minton 2011-04-14 11:56:43 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0

I noticed the following message in /var/log/warn:
Apr 14 12:00:58 mintonlaptop kdm[1398]: Cannot create/lock pid file /var/run/kdm.pid
Also I see TWO lines "Starting service kdm done" on my tty1 during boot (and two lines for stopping it on shutdown), so I guess something is trying to start kdm twice, but second kdm instance fails due to existing lock.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
None: happens in default installation
Actual Results:
boot sequence scripts work incorrectly

Expected Results:
kdm should be started once

Closing, 11.4 reached EOL, if you can reproduce with >= 12.1 open a new BR.
