Description Ludwig Nussel 2011-05-30 15:08:18 UTC
hal and PolicyKit are deprecated in favor of udisks and polkit.

thunar-vfs still lists hal in it's build requires. The goal is to finally get rid of hal for the next openSUSE release. Please port your package to udisks/polkit.

Guido: do we still need this package in Factory or should we just drop it?
Comment 2 andrea florio 2011-05-30 17:38:11 UTC
+1 to drop it
Comment 3 Forgotten User cAXlJ_FoSf 2011-05-30 18:55:24 UTC
It is mainly there for backwards-compatibility reasons although currently only xfce4-panel-plugin-places seems to directly depend on it and there's a patch in Fedora porting that to GIO. I'll use that and then file a deleterequest against thunar-vfs in Factory.
Comment 4 Forgotten User cAXlJ_FoSf 2011-05-31 18:21:02 UTC
thunar-vfs has been dropped from Factory, xfce4-panel-plugin-places actually only exists in X11:xfce and has been fixed accordingly.
