This may or may not be a bug but when ntfs-3g is installed, NTFS isn't in the list of supported filesystems either in /proc/filesystems or /etc/filesystems. The auto mount in KDE fails to mount NTFS partitions automatically. The fix to this problem was to add "ntfs" to /etc/filesystems. Does or does not 'ntfs-3g-2010.10.2-2.1.*' responsible of updating /proc/filesystems or /etc/filesystems?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install ntfs-3g-2010.10.2-2.1.*
2. Plugin a NTFS formatted External Drive
3. Try to mount it through KDE
Actual Results:
Unrecognized filesystem, mount fails

Expected Results:
To mount the drive normally as expected ;)

Sounds like a udisks bug:
