Kernel errors

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1

I have a strange problem with the latest 2.26.39 tumbleweed kernels. After installing the latest kernel when i power off the printer my computer hangs and the only way is to cut the power.

With the kernel 2.26.37.6 there was no problem.

I also tested it again on a clean computer with the same result
I use the 64 bit version of Opensuse 11.4 and tried
HPLIP version 3.11.5-32.1 and 3.11.5-1.3.1.
I have a HP printer Photosmart B109n

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.start up the printer
2.go to graphic mode of text mode
3.Power off printer and see the Kernel errors in text mode
Computer crashes
Actual Results:
The kernel crashes and I have to power down the computer

Expected Results:
Don't crash like with kernel 2.26.37-6

I have two options:

Remove the USB cable from the printer, power off the printer and reinsert the cable again --> No problems

With the cable connected I power off the printer and then I See kernel errors as shown in the image.

I did it with a lot of software installed and with a clean installation

Can you do this from a console window and see if there are any kernel
log messages on the screen? If so, can you take a picture of them, or type
them in?

Hi Greg,

I already added a picture for the kernel errors in the first post I did.
See the bottom of the bugreport:

There you find a photo of the error. Even when you zoom in the text can be read.

Latest updates installed and tested again.

I installed the latest kernel from tumbleweed: Linux 2.6.39.1-33-desktop x86_64 and now when I turn the printer off, I don't see any messages in de terminal screen but still OpenSuse 11.4 craches and I have to power down the computer and start over.
