Here's an entry on the kernel bugzilla that might be relevant: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=27442 I'll dump what I can on the device from Windows 7 tomorrow. That should yield a lot of data - there appear to be Asus Windows drivers specific to it. I'm running the openSUSE 12.1 Milestone 5 GNOME LiveCD on the machine at the moment. It sees the device as a generic PS/2 mouse just like 11.4 does. [ 1.629433] mousedev: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice So we can't mark this 'fixed in 12.1' I think we can close this as "fixed in 12.1" and/or "duplicate of bug 716852."
