Description Andreas Klein 2011-09-08 12:13:46 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0

I did a fresh install with 12.1M5.
/boot on ext2
/ on xfs
The system doesn't boot, because it does can't check /.
Solution: install xfsprogs
This problem did not exist in Milestone 5.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. fresh install with / on xfs
2.
3.
Actual Results:
fsck.xfs is missing, because package xfsprogs isn't installed automatically when xfs filesystem is used.

Expected Results:
xfsprogs should be installed automatically if xfs is used.

xfsprogs has Supplements: filesystem(xfs), so the installer should pick it. Please attach y2logs

I had this same problem and see no fix coming across. See bug 715818 which described my scenario. Could be related to LVM? Anyway, xfsprogs was not installed even though I only had xfs partitions.

BTW, as I mentioned, no logs since root was mounted read only.

This should be fixed in 12.1-Beta, the same problem was reported for btrfs (see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=668588#c9)

Reopen the if it still happens in Beta.
