I used yast2-samba-server to configure a Samba share. Everything was OK, BUT this :

1) yast2-samba-server doesn't let you create a Samba user accout. Not really bad, but it does configure the Samba server in "USER" security mode instead of "SHARE".
So, when you want to access the share ou created, you can't.
2) The other issue with yast2-samba-server is that it won't let you enable the guest access to the share you've just created with it

The consequence : the client is asked for a login/password and even if you enter root as username and the root password, you CANNOT login, it asks it to the client again and again, even if you don't enter any login or nor password.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.configure a Samba share using yast2-samba-server
2.try to connect to it from another Samba client enabled computer
Actual Results:  
you can't connect to your Samba share from openSUSE 11.4

Expected Results:  
Access to my Samba share without login/password, or to be allowed to add a Samba account from the Yast2 Samba server configuration tool.

Solution : enable xinetd + swat with Yast2, then continue the configuration of the Samba server from there.

Personnaly, I selected "SHARE" security mode for the Samba server, and allowed guest access to my share so I can acces it without login.
