Description Jan Engelhardt 2011-11-02 13:12:25 UTC
Updating xorg-x11-drivers-input runs a %post section with

udevadm trigger --subsystem-match=input --action=changenakamura

This causes the keyboard settings to revert to some default:
- delay and repeat rate are reset
- keyboard map is reset, in essence I lose my Compose key that I have in ~/.Xmodmap and need to rerun xmodmap to get it back.

The command is

# re-plug the input devices
udevadm trigger --subsystem-match=input --action=change

- use options '--subsystem-match=input --action=change' for
  udevadmin trigger (bnc #592193)

Still present in 12.1 final
Comment 3 Stefan Dirsch 2014-05-22 12:30:04 UTC
openSUSE 12.1 is no longer supported. Hence the issue won't be fixed for this product. In case the issue still is reproducable with a supported product (openSUSE 12.3/13.1 at the moment) or with openSUSE:Factory, please feel free to reopen. Thanks.
