Get no screen after grub with a HP ProBook 6560b (Cure) which has a ATI Radeon 0x1002:0x6760 card. It worked with openSUSE 12.1 Milestone 3.

I've tested upstream vanilla kernel and it works with 3.0 and 3.1. I also tested the latest git kernel (last commit to drivers/gpu/drm/radeon/ was 59e52534172d845ebffb0d7e85fc56fb7b857051) and bisected the kernel between 3.0 and 3.1 and there also every version worked. Looks as if this is a problem with a patch in the SUSE kernel.

I've got a cure system with 12.1 installed. KMS works like a charm. I've got issues with suspend/resume, but this is not related to KMS.
I do believe this issue has been resolved. This is either a RESOLVED FIXED or a RESOLVED WORKSFORME.

Danny, if you still see this issue on your machine, the only thing I can do for you is to help you with bisecting the issue on your side since everything is working flawlessly on my side.

Unfortunately we cannot work on bugs for no longer maintained products. In
case you can still reproduce the issue with a still maintained product
(openSUSE 12.3/13.1 at the moment) or openSUSE:Factory, feel free to reopen.
