Removing package desktop-data-openSUSE makes kde4 menu entries disappear.
Reinstalling it does not bring them back for the user that was active during the removal of the package.

Other users was not affected, and they were logged out.

No fix if the user is removed along with its /home/ folder, and created again.

Only solution I found was to keep the user name but change the user ID from 1000 to 1002, this solved the problem.

Just don't do it, it's a hard requirement of the desktop: desktop-data-openSUSE is needed by (installed) kdebase4-workspace-4.9.98-838.2.x86_64
