Description Philipp Ochsendorf 2011-11-25 20:01:20 UTC
The kile package ist not required for kdevelop4 to be installed. Thus, when only installing kdevelop4, launching is impossible ('System Configuration Error'), whereas installing kile additionally solves this issue.

I guess installing kate instead of kile should also help. Can you please test this?

If yes, this can be closed as duplicate of bug 729168. There a fix is already prepared and an online update is pending.

Yes, works!

Actually i installed kile and kate together by the time kdevelop did not start. After that it worked, but it does not work if only kile is added. I tested this now.

So yes, kdevelop should require kate only. As this will be fixed with one of the following updates, this bug can be closed.
