logs - yast2, zypp, zyper, messssagges, warn, others

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0

I´ve installed openSUSE12.1 on btfs.

Than I want to do an backup for migration the system to a virtual environment.-> It fails not directly, but I have had to abort the backup process after several hours, because it does not come to an end.- > it was a fresh install with default software packages, so there was not much space to backup(less than 10GB I think).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.install openSUSE12.1 on btfs
2.call the yast2 backup module
3.run an backup without packages and with showing file list.
4. set the destination folder to /home/user/Vorlagen
5.set the temporary path for parts of the backup to /home/user/Vorlagen
6.See that it did not come to and end.
Actual Results:
yast2 did not work on btfs(not in a practical sense)

Expected Results:
yast2 backup should work on btfs.

Could you please retry the test without running any other YaST/zypper
in the same time?

Thus was not the first run I give this. I had a vm before where the problems are the same. -> No logs here.

-> Do you keep on rerunnig?

IMO looks like a Kernel issue, see messages:

Known bug, no fix ATM.
Comment 5 David Sterba 2012-03-07 16:39:03 UTC
Fix for the warning has been committed to opensuse kernel, but I don't see how it could prevent yast from finishing the backup. There are no other errors in the logs.

If the backup process is stuck in some directory, try to find where exactly, otherwise I don't have enough information to proceed.
