User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:9.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0

After clean installation with for example Firefox Xorg use approx 25 %CPU 

max 10 %CPU under 11.4 

Problem is independent from Compiz/desktop effects.

To compare results CPU average temp:

44 °C - 11.4

60 °C - 11.4

Reproducible: Always

I did some tests,

Temperature is from GPU not CPU

This is a laptop

Lenovo Z560 with nvidia 310M graphic card.

On openSUSE 11.4 GPU tempereture CPU and GPU temperature are almost the same average 40°C and fan is working from time to time

on openSUSE 12.1 GPU temperature is sth about 40 °C and GPU is 60°C and fan is working continuously.

I checked KMS on and off but without success.

I will try to install openSUSE 11.4 kernel on openSUSE 12.1 for tests
