User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1

I've problem with repos (opensuse repos, packman repos). We use proxy
without authentification. In the firefox I browse on the internet, but
adding repos and adding programs via yast2 sw_single or zypper fails
with error "connection failed", "could not resolve host ....". This
looks like it does not accept of the using proxy in "yast2 proxy". Any
tips ? Uncheck proxy, reboot, check proxy and reboot has been done

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

I am using proxy without auth and I have the same issue,
after update libzypp  10.3.2-1.1.1 -> 10.3.5-1.7.1
and zypper ref
I got message

"Download (curl) error for 'http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/Utilities/openSUSE_12.1/repodata/repomd.xml':
Error code: Connection failed
Error message: Failed to connect to 2001:67c:2178:8::13: Network is unreachable"

and I can't use zypper anymore ....
firefox,wget and other stuff works fine

I will attach /var/log/zypper.log and /etc/sysconfig/proxy

line :

"2012-02-06 13:21:08 <1> linux-7728.site(11541) [zypp++] MediaCurl.cc(setupEasy):564 Proxy: -none-"

looks strange ...

Comment 4 Michal Seben 2012-02-06 12:37:37 UTC
Vitaliy:
the workaround is using "su -" for root login before using zypper
