System:  Freshly installed version of openSUSE 12.1 x64

the boinc-client will not run via /etc/init.d/boinc-client start

The process reports it is not properly initialized and that it is stopping.  No way to initialize the software as the boinc-gui is needed but it cannot connect to the boinc-client as that process is stopped. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Install fresh openSUSE 12.1 x64
2.  Using YAST2/Software Manager install the boinc-client and boinc-manager packages
3.  Attemt to start the boinc-client via "/etc/init.d/boinc-client start" or "/sbin/service boinc-client start"
Actual Results:  
/sbin/service boinc-client start
The BOINC client requires initialization.                  [WARNING]
Starting BOINC client as a daemon:  


Expected Results:  
boinc-client daemon should load and run
