Can you please do (as root) # echo devices > /sys/power/pm_test # echo mem > /sys/power/state and see if it returns to the command prompt (after 5 - 10 seconds)? Hello. Since this never got answered, I can tell you that in my case it does return to the command prompt after a few seconds.
