The installation of rpm "epson-inkjet-printer-escpr" is good.
The printer is detected. But Yast says there is not driver known.

I do not exactly understand what you meant with your
above comments but I assume you mean in your comment #5
that your attachment #485074 [details] is wrong
and your attachment #485078 [details] is the right one.
Accordingly I mark attachment #485074 [details] as obsolete.

This shows that in some cases whatever the root cause is
for "lpinfo: Unknown" does not go away after some minutes.

As long as "lpinfo -m" fails with "lpinfo: Unknown" on your
particular system, yast2-printer cannot get the printer driver
information from CUPS and therefore yast2-printer cannot find
a printer driver.
