More tests:

I did a fresh install of a GNOME-only DE environment. There I can start firefox etc. Then I installed KDE on top of GNOME. Now I can start firefox also in KDE. It makes no difference, if I use gdm or kdm. It works in this mixed setup with both.

So you can't reproduce the issue any longer?
Comment 3 Hendrik Woltersdorf 2012-06-03 09:50:18 UTC
Not now. I need to reinstall a KDE-only environment.
If necessary I will do that.

Restest with 12.2 Beta2:
Now these programs start without any crashes.
The problem seems to be solved.
Comment 6 Stefan Dirsch 2012-06-23 18:19:38 UTC
Ok.
