Do you mean /etc/hosts? It works for me in OpenSUSE 12.1 even SLES 11 SP2.

Could you attach hosts file which causes trouble?
Comment 3 Forgotten User QtBI7gWTIh 2012-09-13 10:36:04 UTC

your hosts file works for me. I have SLES 11 SP2 without X. Could you test it using ncurses?

What version of yast2-network do you have?
Comment 7 Forgotten User QtBI7gWTIh 2012-09-13 13:24:38 UTC
Hello Michal,

the yast2-network is 2.17.175-0.5.1

Could you run yast with debugging enabled?

# export Y2DEBUG=1; /sbin/yast2

and attach yast logs? Use

# save_y2logs

Thanks

Fine, thank you.

Eventually, what is output of:

# which idnconv

Thanks
Comment 14 Michal Filka 2012-09-14 11:41:46 UTC
I think, you don't have idnconv in your system.

You should install bind-utils package and the dialog will work.
Comment 15 Forgotten User QtBI7gWTIh 2012-09-15 05:00:21 UTC
you are right, after installing bind-utils, it is working ;)

I have installed from DVD XEN-Server. this is a missing Required in the Packet, I mean. ;)

now i have

# which idnconv

/usr/bin/idnconv

Thanks
Comment 16 Michal Filka 2012-09-17 07:43:05 UTC
you are right. There were missing dependency. It's fixed now.

Thanks
