Hi,coolo. could you please help to have a look at this? I can't find the plymouthd maintainers. Thank you:)
Comment 6 Stephan Kulow 2012-07-11 06:59:13 UTC
I somehow remember a similiar problem, that caused the update to 0.8.5.1, but Raymund better looks at the problem himself
Comment 7 Forgotten User sM9JzehKpy 2012-07-13 14:23:40 UTC
@Olaf Which version of Plymouth is installed? If you have version 0.8.4, would it be possible to upgrade to 0.8.5.1 (from Factory) and then to retest ?

Thanks
Comment 8 Forgotten User sM9JzehKpy 2012-07-13 14:24:35 UTC
@Olaf, another question is if you are using systemd or sysvinit ?
Comment 9 Olaf Hering 2012-08-16 18:17:20 UTC
With 12.2-rc2 plymouth doesnt seeem to crash (I cant spot a backtrace), but it doesnt display a splashscreen either.
Comment 10 Olaf Hering 2012-08-16 18:17:42 UTC
It is a default install, so its systemd.

Is this bug still valid ?
Comment 12 Olaf Hering 2014-02-17 13:12:40 UTC
the segfault is most likely fixed.
