Attempting to build a package against netcdf-devel, I receive the following message:

In file included from netcdf.cpp:19:0:
netcdf_source.h:24:23: fatal error: netcdfcpp.h: No such file or directory

This is under 12.2 and Factory. Under 12.1 all is OK.

The changelog says: Fortran and C++ APIs are now in separate packages but no other packages are submitted.

The description of the package is now misleading as it provides only C APIs now.
