Description Christian Boltz 2012-08-06 22:05:54 UTC
From bug 450196 comment 101:
(Headline fixed to "Time_zone_ information...")

---------------------------------------------
== Timezone Information in /etc/adjtime ==

The third line of /etc/adjtime now contains information whether your bios clock runs on UTC or in local timezone (previously stored in HWCLOCK in /etc/sysconfig/clock).

If /etc/adjtime contains wrong drift information (for example after fixing date and time with ntpdate), use hwclock ***please add info what to do in that case***.
---------------------------------------------

Werner, please add the missing part.
Comment 1 Dr. Werner Fink 2012-08-07 07:11:03 UTC
---------------------------------------------
If /etc/adjtime contains wrong drift information (for example after fixing date
and time with ntpdate or have ntpd running), set the variable USE_ADJUST to "no" in /etc/sysconfig/clock
---------------------------------------------
