defaults/pref is the location for GRE prefs. Firefox specific prefs are meant to be under defaults/preferences.

Firefox 14 exposed wrong behaviour first by overriding extensions.autoDisableScopes (seen in bug 774541).

I submitted a fixed MozillaFirefox-branding-openSUSE package to Factory and requested updates for 12.2, 12.1 and 11.4 as they all have FF 14 and therefore are affected.
